Bhubaneswar: The COVID toll in Odisha touched 8,575 on Saturday with the highest of 15 deaths being confirmed on a single day during the third wave in the last 24 hours.
According to Health and Family Welfare Department, three casualties are from Khurda, including one from Bhubaneswar, and two from Ganjam.
Details of the deceased:
1.A 27 years old female of Angul district.
2.A 75 years old female of Bargarh district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
3.A 69 years old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension, Rheumatoid Arthritis.
4.A 96 years old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
5.A 65 years old female of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Acute Kidney Infection.
6.A 13 months old male child of Ganjam district.
7.A 34 years old male of Ganjam district.
8.A 90 years old male of Kendrapada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
9.A 68 years old male of Khurda district who was also suffering from Chronic Asthma, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Prostatomegally, Obstructive sleep apnea.
10.A 65 years old male of Khurda district who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
11.A 70 years old male of Mayurbhanja district who was also suffering from Cerebro Vascular Accident.
12.A 50 years old female of Nabarangapur district.
13.A 57 years old female of Nuapada district who was also suffering from Cerebro Vascular Accident, Right Cerebral palsy Angel.
14.A 70 years old male of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypothyroidism.
15.A 25 years old female of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Malaria PV Positive.
Odisha had confirmed 10 deaths the previous day but the details of the deceased were not shared by the department. The state had seen eight deaths on Thursday (January 27).
