Bhubaneswar: Odisha has confirmed 64 more COVID deaths, taking the toll to 4925 on Friday.
According to Health Department, the deceased belong to 13 districts of the state.
These include past fatalities for which the audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to the virus, it added.
The highest of 22 fatalities have been reported from Khurda, followed by eight from Balasore, seven from Sundargarh, six from Ganjam, two each from Kandhamal and Sambalpur and one each from Boudh, Kalahandi, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Puri, and Rayagada.
The deceased have been identified as:
1. A 60 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
2. A 78 years old Male of Balasore District.
3. A 75 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
4. A 58 years old Female of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Hypothyroidism.
5. A 62 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
6. A 63 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
7. A 78 years old Female of Balasore District who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
8. A 64 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
9. A 34 years old Male of Bargarh District.
10. A 41 years old Female of Bargarh District.
11. A 65 years old Male of Bargarh District.
12. A 43 years old Male of Bargarh District.
13. A 53 years old Male of Bargarh District.
14. A 35 years old Male of Bargarh District.
15. A 55 years old Male of Bargarh District.

58. A 46 years old Male of Sundargarh District.

61. A 51 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Dyslipidemia.

The last seven days have seen the state confirming over 448 fatalities. Over 60 deaths are being reported for the last six days in a row with the highest of 68 on July 13. Bhubaneswar has been added over 20 deaths to its toll for the last 3 days.
Meanwhile, the active cases in the state have reached 21,742 while 9,23,209 patients have recovered, including 2,563 on Thursday, from the disease so far.
