Odisha Congress Expels District Head For Anti-Party Activities

Bhubaneswar: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has approved the expulsion of Manas Choudhary, president of Cuttack District Congress Committee, from the party.

He has been expelled from the Congress for six years for indiscipline and anti-party activities, Odisha Congress Pradesh Committee president Sarat Pattanayak mentioned in the office order issued on June 2.

Choudhary is expected to addressed a presser at Congress Bhawan at 5 pm.

In the twin elections, which ended on June 1, Congress improved its Assembly seats rally to 14 from 9 and retained the lone Koraput constituency it had won in 2019.
