Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader and former MP Amar Pradhan on Saturday said that some senior leaders in Odisha Congress were acting like villains.
“These villains are hand in glove with the ruling party and getting their own party men arrested. I will expose their names to my party supremo, Sonia Gandhi,” Pradhan told media persons here.
Echoing Pradhan’s charge, AICC secretary Sarat Rout said like other parties, there might be some villains in the state Congress who are more concerned about other parties. “They have to be exposed and expelled from the party,” he added.
Congress insiders said a group of dissident party leaders have launched a campaign against the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president, Niranjan Patnaik, who was reinstated by the party high command despite Congress’ miserable performance in the recent Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha.
