Balangir: Senior Congress leader and Odisha MLA Santosh Singh Saluja’s son, Seji Singh was arrested after an alleged fight at a cinema hall at Kantabanji in Balangir district.
According to sources, the Kantabanji legislator’s son was allegedly involved in a scuffle with the son of a cinema hall’s owner at the theatre in Kantabanji late on Wednesday night.
After getting information, a a ream of police personnel rushed to the spot where Seji allegedly entered into an argument with them. A video of the incident also went viral on social media.
Seji was arrested and a case registered against him under different sections of IPC and the Arms Act, the sources said.
Subsequently, police carried out a raid at a gym run by the MLA’s son and reportedly seized Rs 19 lakh cash and 17 litres of liquor of different brands.
