Bhubaneswar: The COVID toll in Odisha touched 6630 on Wednesday with 65 more deaths due to the deadly virus being confirmed in the last 24 hours.
The list of daily fatalities includes past deaths for which an audit was done and the cause identified as COVID, the Health Department said.
Khurda district reported the highest 20 deaths followed by 12 from Cuttack, 6 from Nayagarh, 5 from Angul, 3 each from Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Puri, 2 each from Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal and one each from Bargarh, Jajpur, Kalahandi and Rayagada.
Twenty of 30 districts have more than 100 deaths each.
Khurda district has the highest 1355 deaths followed by Sundargarh (566), Ganjam (462), Cuttack (456), Puri (405), Bargarh (306), Angul (279), Mayurbhanj (231), Kalahandi (203), Balasore (222), Sambalpur (195), Rayagada (161), Jharsuguda (168), Nayagarh (164), Kendrapada (154), Keonjhar (145), Dhenkanal (134), Balangir (112), Jagatsinghpur (110) and Boudh (106).
