Balasore: Odisha Crime Branch arrested a constable at the Bicharganj police outpost at Sahadevkhunta in Balasore district on Saturday for alleged links with drug kingpin Sheikh Raja.
The accused cop, Ranjan Sahu, was placed under suspension by the Balasore SP after his link with Raja was found two days ago.
A Special Task Force of the Crime Branch had arrested Raja from Khandagiri area in Bhubaneswar on September 15. During interrogation, the drug kingpin had said he used to pay protection money to Sahu.
