Odisha Corona Tally 3,386 With 136 Fresh Cases, 54 Bengal-Returned NDRF/ODRAF Personnel

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 136 new corona positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 3,386 on Thursday.

Of the 136 new cases, 134 were reported from quarantine centres while two are local contacts.

According to Health Department sources, Khurda reported the highest 17 new cases, followed by Kandhamal (15), Mayurbhanj (9), Keonjhar (8), Cuttack and Gajapati (seven each), Jharsuguda (4), Dhenkanal, Ganjam and Puri (three each), Nuapada and Kalahandi (two each), and Kendrapara and Sambalpur (one each).

Among the new cases, 54 are NDRF/ODRAF personnel, who had recently returned from West Bengal after Amphan duty.

With nine deaths and 2,282 recoveries, Odisha now has 1,092 active cases.
