Odisha Corona Tally Crosses 3000-Mark, 61 Bengal-Returned NDRF/ODRAF Personnel Infected

Bhubaneswar: Odisha crossed the 3000-mark on Tuesday with 146 new corona positive cases being reported in the last 24 hours. The affected tally has now reached 3104.

Of these fresh cases, 127 have been detected in quarantine centres while 19 are local contacts.

According to Health Department sources, 61 among them are NDRF (49) and ODRAF (12) personnel, who had recently returned from West Bengal after Amphan duty. The NDRF had confirmed that 49 more personnel were found to have contracted the virus, taking the total to 50, the previous night.

With nine deaths and 1993 recoveries, Odisha now has 1136 active cases.
