Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 80 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the number of total affected persons to 1,269.
Ganjam district has reported maximum 19 cases followed by Puri 17, Jajpur 14, Balasore 3, Cuttack 1, Sundargarh 5, Nayagarh 5, Malkangiri 5, Gajapati 4, Jharsuguda 3, Kandhamal 2, Balangir 1 and Nabarangpur 1.
According to Health Department sources, 71 of these cases have been detected at quarantine centres and two from home containment zone while seven are locals.
Two more new districts have been added to the list with Gajapati having four positive cases and Nabarangpur one.
Details of the patients are awaited.
With seven deaths and 436 recoveries, Odisha now has 826 active cases.
