Sundargarh: With uncertainty looming over the lockdown due to the pandemic, a couple in Odisha’s Sundargarh district tied the knot wearing masks to adhere to the social distancing norms.
As per reports, the groom Amrit Patel went to his bride Subhashree’s house on Friday with only five family members.
On arrival at the marriage venue, their hands were sanitised.
The groom and the other guests were allowed to enter the marriage venue after washing hands with sanitisers.
The couple was seen wearing masks even while exchanging wedding vows. The priest, who was performing the wedding rituals, was also wearing a mask.
According to the family members of the newly-weds, the marriage date was already cancelled once because of the lockdown.
However, after the extension of the lockdown, both the families decided to go ahead with the wedding plan.
