Odisha Court Orders Confiscation Of Construction Firm’s Asset

Cuttack: The Special Chit Fund Court on Monday ordered confiscation of movable and immovable properties of a private construction company.

The court has directed the authorities concerned to confiscate 42 acre of land owned by Tarini Estcon Private Ltd on the outskirts of Cuttack, luxury vehicles and cash worth Rs 51.57 lakh deposited in the bank account and disburse the money among the affected customers.

Notably, the construction company had collected crores of rupees from the people to provide them land on the outskirts of Cuttack. They moved court when they did not get the ptomised land despite several reminders even after eight years.
