Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha went up to 2,66,345 on Saturday with 2,196 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases, 1,274 are in quarantine and 922 are local contacts.
In a positive development, the daily count of new cases in Khurda district came down below 300 with 259 cases. Among the other districts, Cuttack reported the second highest of 175 new cases, followed by Sundargarh (140), Mayurbhanj (119), Jajpur (113), Nuapada (108), Angul (107), Balasore (104), Kalahandi (94), Jagatsinghpur (86), Kendrapada (82), Bargarh (80), Puri (77), Balangir (71), Jharsuguda (71), Sonepur (70), Keonjhar (67), Nabarangpur (50), Malkangiri (38), Sambalpur (37), Kandhamal (34), Dhenkanal (33), Boudh (32), Koraput (29), Nayagarh (20), Rayagada (14), Ganjam (13), Bhadrak (16) and Gajapati (7).
Besides, the State Pool has 50 cases.
