Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha touched 11201 on Thursday with 577 fresh cases being reported from 22 districts in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 416 have been detected from quarantine centres while 161 are local contact cases.
According to I&PR department, Ganjam district reported the highest number of cases (260) followed by Sundargarh (83), Khurda (56), Keonjhar (48), Balasore (30), Gajapati (17). Mayurbhanj and Cuttack reported 14 cases each, Jajpur reported nine while seven each were reported from Angul and Jagatsinghpur.
Koraput (6), five each from Puri and Boudh, Dhenkanal (4), three each in Kendrapada and Sambalpur, Bhadrak (2) and one each in Kandhamal, Jharsuguda, Malkangiri and Nayagarh were also reported on the same day.
With 48 deaths and 7006 recoveries, Odisha now has 4128 active cases.
