Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha touched 18757 on Tuesday with 647 new patients being detected in the last 24 hours.
Of the fresh cases reported from 23 districts, 431 have been detected in quarantine centres while 216 are local contact cases.
According to I & PR department, Ganjam district reported the highest 225 followed by Cuttack (84), Khurda (68), Rayagada (47), Balasore (40), Angul (37), Koraput (28), Sundargarh (22), Kendrapada (13), Bhadrak (12), 10 each in Sambalpur, Malkangiri and Dhenkanal, Keonjhar (8), Jagatsinghpur (7), five each in Kandhamal and Balangir, four each in Nayagarh and Bargarh, Mayurbhanj (3), two each in Nabarangpur and Jajpur and Sonepur (1).
With 97 deaths and 12909 recoveries, Odisha now has 5715 active cases.
