Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha touched 48,796 on Tuesday with 1341 new positive cases being reported in the last 24 hours.
These cases have been detected in 29 districts. While 818 are from quarantine centres while 523 are local contact cases, the I & PR Department tweeted.
Ganjam leads the tally with 227 cases, followed by Khurda (218), Sundargarh (91), Bhadrak (83), Cuttack (76), Rayagada (75), Jharsuguda (67), Nayagarh (57), Bargarh (56), Balasore (54), Koraput (45), 27 each from Balangir and Kendrapada (27), Sambalpur (26), Kalahandi (25), Keonjhar (23), Gajapati (20), Malkangiri (17), 16 each from Jagatsinghpur, Puri and Kandhamal, Jajpur (15), 14 each from Sonepur and Dhenkanal, Boudh (10), Mayurbhanj (9), Nuapada (7), Nabarangpur (6), and Angul (4).
With 286 deaths and 33,020 recoveries, Odisha now has 15,427 active cases.
