Bhubaneswar: There has been no let-up in the surge in COVID-19 cases in Ganjam. A day after 102 people tested positive for the virus, 95 more in the district were found infected on Thursday.
They are among the 229 new cases detected in 19 districts of Odisha, which has pushed the affected tally further to 7545.
Besides Ganjam, Balasore reported 24 new cases in the last 24 hours followed by Jajpur (22), Khurda (21), Sundargarh (17), Cuttack (12), Jharsuguda (10), Balangir (7), Nayagarh (5), Puri (4), Boudh (3), Mayurbhanj (2), and one each in Angul, Bargarh, Deogarh, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, and Koraput, the I & PR department tweeted.
With 25 deaths and 5353 recoveries, Odisha now has 2157 active cases.
