Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 143 new corona positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 5303 on Monday.
According to I &PR department tweet, 137 of these cases were reported from various quarantine centres and the remaining six detected during contact tracing.
Ganjam reported the highest of 32 new cases, followed by Cuttack (20), Khurda (16), 13 each of Nayagarh and Balasore, Sundargarh (12), Kendrapada (10), Kalahandi (6), Sambalpur (5), Bhadrak (4), Dhenkanal(3), Keonjhar (2), and one each of Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Bargarh, Balangir, and Jharsuguda.
Among them are two NDRF personnel, who had recently returned to Odisha after Amphan duty in West Bengal.
With 14 deaths and 3720 recoveries, Odisha now has 1562 active cases.
