Bhubaneswar: Daily COVID caseload crossed 200 for the second consecutive day on Wednesday as 226 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
These cases have been reported from 20 districts and 33 among them are in the 0-18 years age group.
While 206 new infections were detected on Tuesday, the state had reported 185 cases on Monday, 262 on Sunday.
According to the I & PR department, 128 of the new cases are from quarantine and 98 local contacts. Khurda saw the highest 114 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (15) and Sundargarh (11). No new infections have been reported from 10 districts.

With these cases being detected from 60,508 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.37 per cent. The TPR was 0.41 per cent on Tuesday and 0.32 per cent on Monday.
While the COVD-19 tally in the state reached 1046088, Odisha now has 2657 active cases.
