Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a slight rise in daily COVID caseload on Monday with 123 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 112 the previous day.
The state saw 124 new cases on Saturday, 141 cases on Friday, 155 cases on Thursday, and 183 cases on Wednesday.
According to the I & PR department, 72 of the new infections are from quarantine and 51 local contacts. Among them, 17 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 53 new cases followed by Sambalpur (19) and Cuttack (10). Seventeen districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 55,084 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.22%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,54,004, Odisha now has 1,572 active cases.
