Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 cases in Odisha continued to remain over 10,000 for the 11th consecutive day on Saturday with 11,108 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases reported from all 30 districts., 6,219 are in quarantine and 4,889 are local contacts.
District-wise, Khurda topped the list with 1451 new cases, followed by Cuttack: 944, Angul: 864, Sundargarh: 708, Mayurbhanj: 635, Balasore: 509, Bhadrak: 489, Puri: 473, Jajpur: 396, Sambalpur: 384, Nabarangpur: 357, Bargarh: 339, Nayagarh: 332, Jagatsinghpur: 318, Balangir: 298, Boudh: 273, Koraput: 251, Ganjam: 214, Rayagada: 209, Sonepur: 180, Keonjhar: 169, Gajapati: 157, Kendrapada: 150, Kandhamal: 132, Dhenkanal: 131, Deogarh: 125, Nuapada: 114, Jharsuguda: 113, Malkangiri: 100 and Kalahandi: 39.
Besides, the state pool has 254 cases.
At present, Odisha has 1,09,639 active cases. The state has registered 5,67,382 recoveries so far, .
It may be mentioned that the positive cases in Odisha in the last three weeks since May 1 has gone up to 2,24,823 with the highest single-day spike of 12,523 cases on May 20. The total cases in the state is 6,79,530.
