Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha went past 1000 again on Sunday with 1029 people being found infected in the last 24 hours against 981 the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 602 of the new infections are from quarantine and 427 local contacts. Among them, 175 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Sundargarh has again reported the highest 222 followed by Khurda (173) and Sambalpur (93).

Besides, 39 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 19,954 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 5.15 per cent. Odisha now has 6,608 active cases.
