Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a drop in daily COVID caseload for the third consecutive day on Tuesday as 545 more people, including 74 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 585 new COVID cases on Sunday, 602 on Saturday, 539 on Friday, and 644 on Thursday.
According to the I & PR department, 319 of the new infections are from quarantine and 226 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest of 218 cases followed by Cuttack (73) and Balasore (47). Four districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 52,675 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.03 per cent. The TPR was 0.70 per cent on Monday, 0.86 per cent on Sunday, 0.83 per cent on Saturday, 0.78 per cent on Friday and 0.89 per cent on Thursday.
While the affected tally has touched 1025309, Odisha now has 5587 active cases.
