Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a rise in daily COVID caseload for the second consecutive day on Tuesday as 156 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 123 and 112 on Monday and Sunday respectively.
According to the I & PR department, 93 of the new infections are from quarantine and 63 local contacts. Among them, 20 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 83 new cases. Fourteen districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 51,842 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.30%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,54,160, Odisha now has 1,559 active cases.
