Odisha COVID Update: Positivity Rate At 0.64% For 2nd Consecutive Day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday recorded a marginal decrease in daily COVID cases with 57 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, against 59 cases on Thursday, and 73 cases on Wednesday.

According to the I & PR Department, 34 cases are from quarantine and 23 cases are from local contacts. Among them, five are in the 0-18 age group.

Here is the district-wise tally of new cases:

3. Balangir: 3
4. Boudh: 2
5. Cuttack: 1
6. Deogarh: 2
7. Jagatsinghpur: 2
8. Jajpur: 3
9. Kalahandi: 1
10. Khurda: 10
11. Koraput: 2
12. Nayagarh: 1
13. Nuapada: 2
14. Puri: 4
15. Sambalpur: 3
16. Sundargarh: 12

Besides, two are from the state pool.

With 8,816 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.64%. Odisha now has 465 active cases.
