Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a marginal rise in daily COVID caseload on Friday with 286 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 195 the previous day.
The state had reported 255 on Wednesday, 151 on Tuesday, 105 on Monday, 189 on Sunday and 193 cases on Saturday.
According to the I & PR department, 168 of the new infections are from quarantine and 118 local contacts. Among them, 40 aare in the age group of 0-18 years.
Khurda reported the highest of 147 new cases, followed by Mayurbhanj at 21. While 12 districts registered new cases in single-digit, it was nil in 14 districts.

With these cases being detected from 58,816 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.48%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,51,241, Odisha now has 2,137 active cases.
