Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal took the COVID-19 vaccine shot among 39,849 senior citizens here on Thursday. This took the total number to 95,882 who were vaccinated in the state. Lal took the first jab at the Raj Bhawan here on Thursday.
Out of a total of 447 vaccine sites, Covaxin was administered in 35 sites on Thursday.
As many 57,893 people received the first jab, including 1796 above-45 people with comorbidities were inoculated on the fourth day of vaccination.
In Bhubaneswar, 3740 elderly people got Covaxin, taking the total number of vaccinations is 8539.
Ganjam district occupied the top spot in vaccinating elderly people. A total of 6,164 elderly people were inoculated.
