Odisha Cricket Association Goes To Polls In Cuttack

Cuttack: The election for the office bearers of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) started from 11.30 am at Barabati stadium here on Friday. The results will be declared in the evening.

The polls will be held for the six posts of president, vice president, secretary, joint-secretary, treasurer and councilor for the apex council.

This is the first OCA election to be held after the implementation of the recommendations by Supreme Court-appointed Justice Rajendra Mal Lodha Committee.

Former OCA Secretary Ashirbad Behera’s ballot was sent to the Jharpada jail superintendent. Notably, Behera’s son Sanjay is contesting for the secretary’s post.

CBI had arrested Behera from his Cuttack home earlier this month for his alleged involvement in the Artha Tatwa chit fund scam.
