Nayagarh: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch on Tuesday bust a drug racket and seized 3.1 kg brown sugar from a house under Nayagarh Town police limits.
Acting on a tip-off over alleged sale and possession of contraband brown sugar and guns, the STF raided a house at Udaya Lane at Sinduria today morning.
Police arrested K Vickey Rao of Rajabazar in Khurda district and seized Rs 65.32 lakh, three 7 mm pistols, seven magazines, 43 rounds of 7 mm ammunition, one currency note counting machine, four mobile phones and a tablet from the house.
A case under Section 21(c)/29 of NDPS Act and 25/27 of Arms Act has been registered. Rao will be forwarded to court.
