Bhubaneswar: Odisha crossed another milestone in COVID vaccination as it completed administration of 4 crore doses on Friday.
The Health and Family Welfare in a tweet said, “Happy to share that Odisha has crossed a new milestone by completing 4 crore COVID vaccination.”
The state had crossed 3.5 crore doses on October 21. While more than 2.47 crore of the state’s 3.09 crore adult population had received the first dose, more than 1.03 crore people had been fully vaccinated.
Earlier, Director, Health and Family Welfare Bijay Panigrahi said the state government has targeted to complete administration of first dose of COVID vaccine to all eligible people by December this year.
Stating that vaccination centres have been increased from 1600 to 2400 in the state, he said the villages where more than 100 people have taken the vaccine has a vaccination centre.
Panigrahi also said of 3,98,74,285 people vaccinated in the state till date, 2,66,54,193 have taken the first dose and 1,32,20,092 have been administered second dose.
