Bhubaneswar: Government chief whip of Odisha Prashan Muduli on Saturday sought cooperation of corporate houses for betterment and development of the weaker sections of society.
He was speaking at the Odisha CSR Excellence Award 2022, organised by Odisha CSR Forum in Bhubaneswar. He felicitated 17 personnel of PSUs and private sector companies for their contribution to development of their local areas through CSR.
Corporate CSR Excellence Award-2022 was presented to 20 individuals who have contributed significantly to the improvement of society through innovative and sustainable CSR initiatives.
“Corporates, NGOs, policy makers, CSOs, academic development institutions and media can play a major role in coordination with each other for inclusive growth and balanced development of Odisha,” said Odisha CSR Forum convener BK Mishra. Minister of State for Labour Shrikant Sahu and D Satasya Shadangi, vice-chancellor of FM University were present.
On the occasion, panel discussions on ‘CSR in India and its Future’ and ‘Managing CSR Projects Using Technology and Tools’ were held. Around 130 representatives from prominent NGOs, educational institutions, civil society organisations, policy makers, environmentalists, administrators, judges, development sectors, economists and agriculture participated in the discussions.
