Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday appointed another officer in the chief minister’s office (CMO).
A notification, issued by the Housing and Urban Development department, said Debi Prasad Mishra, Deputy Secretary of the department, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
“Debi Prasad Mishra, Deputy Secretary, H & UD department is hereby deployed as Deputy Secretary to Chief Minister, Odisha with immediate effect. The salary and other financial benefits of Mishra will be drawn from H & UD Department as usual,” said the notification.
On Saturday, the government had appointed senior Odisha Finance Service (OFS) officer Umesh Chandra Tripathy as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister. Tripathy, who was serving as additional secretary, Steel & Mines Department, was transferred and posted in the CMO.
Earlier, the government had appointed OAS officer Trilochan Mohanty as Joint Secretary in the CMO. Mohanty was serving as Keonjhar sub-collector. Similarly, Satish Chandra Samal, who was working as senior private secretary of the Home Department, was appointed as Additional Private Secretary in the CM’s office.
