Cuttack: Director General of Odisha Police Abhay on Thursday paid tributes to police martyrs and Covid warriors. Abhay also presented DGP’s Disc to the kin of 13 corona martyrs on the occasion of 86th Police Formation Day here.
Addressing the gathering, the Odisha DGP said Odisha Police is committed to the service of people and their efforts in the fight against corona has not waste.
Abhay also said Odisha Police has shown some admirable results in curbing crime and Maoist activities in the State.
Odisha Police has done a laudable job in maintaining law and order in the past year, said Abhay. The men in khaki have worked tirelessly in rescuing missing children and preventing women and child exploitation, he added.
“There has been a remarkable success in anti-Maoist operations in Swabhiman Anchal of Malkangiri district in the last two years,” Abhay said and added that several new police stations and outposts have been set in the state.”
Moreover, sophisticated arms and ammunition have strengthened Odisha Police, Abhay said.
On the occasion the Abhay also presented DGP’s Disc to 10 police personnel for their outstanding performances.
Addressing the ceremony, Twin City police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi said Commissionerate Police is committed to provide better service to the people and ensure safety and security of their lives and properties in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
