Bhubaneswar: Dr Sruti Mohapatra, well-known disability rights activist from Odisha, has left for Rwanda’s capital Kigali, where she will participate in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
She is participating in the conference as a member of the Commonwealth Disabled People’s Forum (CDPF)’s delegation. She is currently the vice-chairperson of CDPF, which is headquartered in London.
Dr Mohapatra is scheduled to address the conference, which will be from June 20 to 25.
She was conferred with the Nari Shakti Puraskar on the occasion of International Women’s Day by President Ram Nath Kovind in March.
