Odisha District Culture Officer, Executive Engineer In Vigilance Net

Dhenkanal/Balasore: Vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted raids on the house and other properties of District Culture Officer, Dhenkanal, Sukru Swain, on charges of amassing asset disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to sources, simultaneous raids were conducted on Swain’s properties at six places, including his office in Dhenkanal, government quarter, a house at Sisupalagad in Bhubaneswar, a computer centre in Gadamahabir, and residence in Berhampur.

Swain earlier worked as District Culture Officer in Chhatrapur. Since the raid is underway, exact amount of his property is yet to be ascertained.

The Vigilance officials also conducted raid on his residence of  Executive Engineer of Balasore Drainage Division Basant Panda at Sarisha village, his in-law house, parental house and a flat in Bhubaneswar.
