Odisha: DL & LL Skill Tests To Commence In Category B Districts From Next Week

Bhubaneswar: The driving license (DL) and learner’s license (LL) services which were suspended since April in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic,  will resume in Category B districts except Puri.

The driving skill test will commence from July 13 and slot booking can be done from 11 am of July 10 (Saturday). Fitness test services will also resume from the same day.

For Puri, The DL test will commence from July 14 and slot booking will open at 11 am on July 13, stated a release by the State Transport Authority.

The 10 Category B districts where the services will resume are:  Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Khurda, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh and Puri.

DL skill test slot booking for other 20 category A districts had resumed from June 21 & July 5 and skill tests started on June 22 and July 6 respectively.

Here are the other points to be taken note of by the applicants:

  • The LLs whose expiry dates ranges from March 18, 2020 to September 30, 2021 will remain valid till September 30
  • The slots booked for DL test & LL test have been cancelled w.e.f. April 22, 2021. The fee aid will remain valid
  • Test slots will be opened for booking from 7 am to 10 pm everyday. The applicants have better chance to book their favourite slot at 7 am everyday.
  • Only existing DL applicants can book slots for DL skill test.
  • DL renewal with retest will be allowed.
  • The applicants must wear masks and follow the social distancing norms at the testing centre/office.
  • The applicants from containment zone will not be allowed for any test. In case, any such applicant tries to enter in DL test centre or office, the matter will be informed to the local police.
  • Applicants advised not to bring their friends and relatives with them to the test Centre/office.
  • Applicants with symptomatic sign of COVID-19 are not allowed for the test.
  • The resumption of LL test and booking of slots for LL test will be notified later on in respect of all the districts.
  • The application for new LL, new DL will be notified later on in respect of all the districts.
  • In case of emergent situation due to Covid pandemic leading to shutdown of the office, the test may be cancelled at short notice.
