Bhubaneswar: As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Odisha, the Director of Medical Education and Training CBK Mohanty has requested people to follow coronavirus guidelines as set by the government.
Hand wash, use of sanitiser, mask and maintaining social distancing are the primary protocols to be followed to keep the virus at bay. He also advised people to avoid visiting crowded places.
He also asked people to alert the government if they found anyone who has come from outside state so as to enable the authorities to examine and, if necessary, isolate them.
About vaccination, he urged the people to come forward and take the shot while requesting the senior citizens not to fear. He further added that there have been no side effects of the vaccinations so far. Protect yourself and others too, he added.
The DMET also asked the citizens to celebrate Holi by staying indoors.
