Berhampur: A doctor of MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Berhampur has been arrested for allegedly submitting fake caste certificate to pursue medical studies and getting job.
The doctor, identified as Durgadatta Sasani, was arrested by Koraput police based on a complaint lodged by his brother.
Sources said the doctor’s younger brother Ambika Prasad Sasani had lodged a complaint against him at Semiliguda police station in Koraput district. It was alleged that Durgadatta, a resident of Samabaya Colony in Semiliguda, had furnished fake scheduled caste certificate despite being a Brahmin.
