Bhubaneswar: In yet another example of intolerance and high-handedness, an Ayurvedic doctor in Jharigaon area of Nabaranpur district of Odisha was dragged, made to kneel down on street and apologise in full view of the public. All because these men thought the doctor was hurting the religious sentiments of a particular community. So they took it upon themselves to heckle and manhandle him.
It is reported that Dr Bhavtosh Mondol had set up a clinic for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the area a few months ago. Reports further say that he allegedly used the images of Hindu gods and goddess in the promotional posters of his clinic. This outraged local Bajrang Dal activists in the area who decided to teach him a lesson.
The activists dragged him out of his clinic, thrashed him and demanded a public apology from him.
Despite the fact that the whole incident was caught on camera and went viral on the social media, no complaint has been registered with the local police.
