Bhubaneswar: Though Odisha has improved its composite score towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), it has dropped four places in the latest nationwide rankings released on Thursday.
As per the NITI Aayog’s SDG India Index and Dashboard 2020–21, Odisha was ranked 19th with a composite score of 61. This is a drop from the 15th position from that in 2019. However, the state’s score was 58 in that year.
Since its inaugural launch in 2018, the index has been comprehensively documenting and ranking the progress made by States and Union Territories towards achieving the SDG.
The latest index was launched by NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Dr Rajiv Kumar in New Delhi.
