Bhubaneswar: With three more phases of simultaneous elections set to go in Odisha, the BJP has lined up its star players to campaign in the state from Saturday.
As per the schedule of the visit of its senior leaders, released by state unit of BJP on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will again come to the state to campaign for party candidates. He will land in Bhubaneswar airport on Sunday night.
After the night stay in the city, Modi will go to Puri and offer prayer in Jagannath temple on Monday morning. The he will take out a roadshow in the pilgrim town. Thereafter, he will proceed to Angul where he will address a public meeting at 9.30 am. From there, Modi will go to Cuttack to address an election meeting at Killa Padia at 11.30 am.
On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is also scheduled to attend the campaign meetings in the state. Singh will address a public gathering at Nakatideula in Rairakhol of Sambalpur district at 10 am. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also speak at the meeting.
From Rairakhol, Singh will go to Patana in Keonjhar to attend another meeting at 11.40 am. From there, he will come to Khurda to address the public at 1.30 pm.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also address the public gathering at Remed field of Sambalpur at 12 noon on May 21. Then he will proceed to Keonjhar where he will speak at public meeting at 1.30 pm. He will also attend the election rallies in Parjang of Dhenkanal at 2.35 pm and in Nayagarh at 3.40 pm.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is scheduled to address public meeting at Kuchind college ground in Sambalpur at 10.50 am on Sunday.
Besides, BJP’s state president Manmohan Samal will attend poll rallies at Baripada in Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha constituency at 12.45 pm on Sunday. He will also attend a party workers’ meeting in Baripada.
