Odisha Elections 2024: Naveen Patnaik, Rajnath Singh To Raise Campaign Pitch Today

Bhubaneswar: Amid high-decibel electioneering for the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha, star players of both Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been making whirlwind tours of the state to woo the voters.

Heavyweight leaders of the two political parties are set to raise the campaign pitch in Keonjhar on Sunday. While BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is slated to hit the campaign trail in Keonjhar, BJP stalwart and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also address a poll rally in the district.

Naveen is schedule to campaign in two assembly constituencies including Keonjhar town and Anandpur.

Similarly, Rajnath Singh is slated to attend a public meeting at Patana under Keonjhar Lok Sabha constituency.

The BJP heavyweight will visit Patana after addressing a public gathering at Nakatideula in Rairakhol of Sambalpur district. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also speak at the meeting.

From Rairakhol, Singh will go to Patana to attend a poll rally. From there, he will proceed to Khurda to address the public meeting in the afternoon.

As per BJD’s campaign schedule, Naveen will attend a public gathering at Keonjhar town. BJD MLA candidates of the district will also remain present along with the MP candidate of the party.

Thereafter, the Chief Minister will proceed to Anandapur to address a poll meeting at the Ana Football ground near Hatadihi under Anandapur Assembly constituency. Security arrangement has been beefed up by Police for the visit of the CM.

Notably, the second phase of elections in the state will be held Monday, while the last two rounds are slated to be held on May 25 and June 1.
