Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik cast his vote in Bhubaneswar on Saturday and expressed the hope that the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will have a great victory in 2014 elections to form government in the state again.
Sources said the Chief Minister exercised his franchise at a polling booth in Aerodrome Colony UP School.
Speaking to reporters after voting, Naveen said requested all voters, particularly young voters to come out and vote.
Expressing the hope that BJD will have a great victory both in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the CM said, “We will form a very stable government in the state again with the blessings of the people and Lord Jagannath.”
Similarly, BJP MP Aparajita, who is seeking re-election from Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat, also vast her vote at a polling booth in the state capital.
“Voted for Development. Participated in the Biggest Festival of Democracy. Grateful to ALL who have come out of their houses. Let’s ALL vote,” she said in a post on X.
BJD leader V K Pandian also exercised his franchise in Bhubaneswar. He boarded an autorickshaw to Unit-6 Government High School Booth No. 44 and cast his vote.
After voting, Pandian said everyone should come and vote in large numbers and participate in the great celebration of democracy.
