Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik appealed to the voters to vote for the party candidates during his second roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Naveen’s roadshow, which was scheduled to begin in the afternoon, had a delayed start from Punama Gate Flyover. The chief minister addressed the people from inside his specially built vehicle at different important locations in the city during the roadshow.
The roadshow went through Palaspalli, Ekamra Square via BDA Colony Square, Sundarpada Hata, Pokhariput Square, Prameya Square, Siripur Chhak, Ganga Nagar Square before culminating at Rajendra Vihar near Ekamra Square.
Naveen reiterated the BJD’s promise to provide free power after getting elected to form government and asked the people whether they were happy with the announcement. He also asked the people to vote on BJD symbol conch to elect its candidates for both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Hundreds of BJD workers, supporters and local people lined up on both sides of the road along the route of the roadshow. They also raised slogans in support of Naveen wherever his vehicle stopped.
Naveen had conducted his first roadshow in the capital city on May 16 as part of the BJD’s strategy to win over the urban voters of Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency.
