Odisha Elections 2024: Police Issue Traffic Advisory For Naveen’s Roadshow In Bhubaneswar Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has issued a traffic advisory for the roadshow of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

Even as second phase of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be held in the state on May 20, BJD president Naveen will hold the roadshow in the capital city to seek votes for the party candidates.

The roadshow will be taken out from Punama Gate Flyover in Palaspalli to Ekamra Square. It will pass through BDA Colony Square, Sundarpada Hata, Pokhariput Square, Prameya Square, Siripur Chhak, Ganga Nagar Square and Rajendra Vihar near Ekamra Square.

The DCP, Traffic of Commissionerate Police, in a press release on Sunday, said movement of vehicular traffic will be regulated during the chief minister’s roadshow to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the interest of the general public.

As per the advisory, no vehicles will be allowed to ply on the route of the roadshow from 4 pm till it comes to an end.

The vehicles are not allowed to ply from Khandagiri Square towards Jagamara

square and from Delta square towards City Women’s College Square during the period.

Besides, vehicles coming from lanes and bylanes are not allowed to avail the above-mentioned roads from Punama Gate Flyover to Ekamra Square. 

The Commissionerate Police has requested the people to plan their travelling route as per the traffic restrictions during the roadshow to avoid any kind of hassles.

It may be noted that Naveen had taken out a roadshow in the city last Thursday. Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency is going to polls on May 25.

Prime Minister Modi will also take out a roadshow in Puri after offering prayer in Jagannath temple on Monday.
