Bhubaneswar: Repolling is underway at two polling booths in Kandhamal Lok Sabha constituency amid tight security arrangements on Thursday.
The voting, which commenced peacefully at 7 am at booth Nos 26 and 28 of Kantamal assembly seat, falling under Kandhamal parliamentary constituency, will continue till 4 pm.
Apart from police personnel, two magistrates have been appointed to ensure free and fair elections in the two booths, located in Boudh district.
Notably, polling was held in these two booths along with 34 other assembly segments and five Lok Sabha seats in the second phase of voting in the state on May 20.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) ordered repolling following allegations of rigging in the area in Boudh district during the second phase of election held on May 20.
The ECI order came after BJP demanded re-polling in the two booths over alleged irregularities.
