Bhubaneswar: Odisha MLA Parshuram Dhada resigned from the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday following denial of ticket to contest the Assembly elections.
According to sources, the Soro MLA resigned from the primary membership of BJD soon after the party announced Madhab Dhada as its candidate from the constituency. He reportedly sent his resignation letter to BJD president and Chief Minister supremo Naveen Patnaik.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Rajkishore Das from Soro Assembly constituency.
Dhada alleged that injustice has been done to him because of some elements in the ruling BJD who did not support him.
Notably, the BJD has picked Madhab Dhada as its candidate to contest the 2024 Assembly elections from Soro Assembly seat.
