Bhubaneswar: Continuing its tirade against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJD on Monday said the BJP lost panchayat elections even in his village for his failure to establish a single Kendriya Vidyalaya in his area.
Speaking to the media, BJD MP and spokesperson Sasmit Patra said Pradhan has miserably failed as a Union Minister and wondered how he would approach the voters as BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate for Sambalpur.
Patra said as Union Education Minister, Pradhan has not established a single Kendriya Vidyalaya in the districts of Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Angul and Deogarh. “He has not been able to build even a single smart classroom in his own village. That’s why BJP lost in the panchayat elections in his own village,” he added.
On the other hand, BJD government in the state has transformed high school education through smart classrooms, digital libraries and state of art infrastructure through 5T initiative, Patra claimed.
“Pradhan has not established even a single Central Skill Development Center in Dhenkanal, Angul and Deogarh. People of Dhenkanal and Sambalpur have been repeatedly raising the issue of the NH-55 and how hundreds of precious lives are being lost due to its precarious condition. He repeatedly refuses to address this issue. How will he face those families who have lost their loved ones in such accidents?” the BJD leader asked.
