Bhubaneswar: With the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha fast approaching, various agencies, organisations and government bodies and officials are adopting unique methods to raise awareness among the voters.

In order to make people aware of the importance of exercising their franchise, the sub-collector of Baliguda in Kandhamal district organised a special event and even herself walked down the ramp, while the administration in Bargarh roped in prominent personalities to raise voter awareness.

As part of her efforts to encourage voters, Baliguda sub-collector Rina Pradhan walked the ramp holding a placard with ‘My Vote, My Pride’ slogan.

The administration of Baliguda sub-division held a fashion show at the conference hall and the sub-collector herself participated in the event like other participants.

BDOs and Tehsildars of nine blocks under the sub-division took part in the event, organised with an aim to increase voting percentage in the area.

Similarly, the Bargarh district administration has roped in Kansha Maharaj of the famous Bargarh Dhanu Jatra fame and Sambalpuri poet and writer Padma Shri Haladhar Nag to create voter awareness and increase turnout.

In a video message, Kansha Maharaj is seen with his councillors in his durbar. He in his unique dialogue delivery style is heard urging voters to come out and vote in large numbers.
In a similar message, Haladhar Nag is seen appealing to voters to come out and vote.

That apart, school and college students in every nook and corner of the district are taking out rallies to spread awareness among voters.
