Odisha: Eminent Litterateur Santanu Acharya Selected For Utkal Samman Award

Cuttack: Eminent litterateur Santanu Kumar Acharya has been selected for Utkal Samman award of Utkal Sahitya Samaj.

Utkal Samman is the highest award instituted by the Samaj. Besides Acharya, editor and journalist Rabi Rath has been selected for Udaynath Sarangi Sambadikata Samman, Krupa Sagar Sahu for Sukadev Sahu Upanyas Samman, Rabi Swain for Fakir Mohan Small Story Samman, Baijayanti Mishra for Ramchandra Natak Samman, Prasanna Kumar Rathor for Pranakrushna Parija Vigyan Sahitya Samma and Durga Charan Sarangi for Gangadhar Meher Kavita Samman.

The Samaj has also selected several litterateurs for the awards in different categories including essay, children’s literature, spiritual literature and others.

The awards will be presented to the selected litterateurs at the annual function of the Samaj to be held on September 22, its general secretary Aditya Pratap Dhal said in a release.
